Power surge propels Cowboys past Texas Tech

Marshall Scott, Sports Reporter @Marshall_Once

The Cowboys had a 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the third inning when TTU right fielder Tyler Neslony got a hold of a ball that landed beyond the fence in right-center field, tying the game 2-2. Then in the top of the fourth, Ryan Sluder sent a ball on a rope over the left-field wall giving the Cowboys a 3-2 lead. Third baseman Jacob Chappell hit a single to left field before Gage Green took his turn in hitting a home run over the wall in right. The two teams traded runs after that but the Pokes were able to hold on and win, 6-3 in Lubbock, Texas.
