T. Boone Pickens has lofty expectations for the Oklahoma State football team.
Pickens, the namesake of the Cowboys' football stadium, issued a lengthy statement Wednesday on his Twitter account and his website, boonepickens.com. He said he will attend OSU's home season opener against Missouri State on Thursday.
"I'm in this to win a national championship," Pickens said in the statement. "Turning 90 as I did last May only fuels that fire. Time for me is winding down, but I remain an optimist that Mike Gundy can and will deliver on a national championship. The sooner the better.
