The Pac-12’s 2020 football season has seemed in peril, and maybe it still should be considered as such. But the Pac-12 announced this week that it will re-open facilities for football players on June 15, California’s governor has started warming up to the return of big-time sports and suddenly there is some optimism that West Coast college football will be played this autumn.
Which is a good thing for the sport. The Pac-12 historically plays some of the most interesting non-conference games in America, and that certainly holds true in 2020.
