OU — as it has done all season — survived yet another close one. The Sooners on Saturday outlasted Iowa State, 28-21, making OSU’s path to a Big 12 title appearance simple.
An ISU win would have complicated matters but now all OSU needs is a win either Saturday in Lubbock or next Saturday against OU in Stillwater.
Win and you’re in.
The No. 9 Cowboys got some help Saturday for their long shot hopes to make the playoff, too, with No. 7 Michigan State getting thrashed by Ohio State. Win out, and things get really interesting.
