There is no Bedlam wrestling this weekend.
Traditionally, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma meet on the mat the weekend before or after the fall semester ends. But this season, the No. 3 Cowboys will wrestle OU only once, Feb. 11 in Stillwater. The Sooners made the decision to compete in only a conference dual in their second year under coach Lou Rosselli.
“I think they’re in a rebuilding process,” OSU coach John Smith said. “I said, ‘OK.’ What else are you gonna say when they say, ‘We’re only wrestling once.’? I said, ‘As long as it’s in Stillwater, I’ll wrestle you once every year, but that dual meet has to be in Stillwater,’ which I was kidding.
