In need of a backup point guard and more bench prowess, the Dallas Wings addressed both needs when they picked Oklahoma State point guard Loryn Goodwin with the 18th overall pick in the WNBA Draft Thursday night.
The 5-foot-9 Goodwin showed her versatility as a scoring point guard who can also impact the game defensively in her lone season at OSU. A graduate transfer from UT-San Antonio, Goodwin averaged 20.6 points, 5.5 assists and 3.5 steals this past season, helping Oklahoma State to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Wings have Skylar Diggins-Smith in the starting point guard position after a 2017 season in which she averaged 18.
