STILLWATER — Justin Phillips' tackles aren't flashy. His celebrations aren't wild.
The Oklahoma State linebacker makes plays. Lots of them.
But he often does so in relative anonymity, compared to some of his more exuberant teammates.
At 6-feet and 230 pounds, Phillips moves with agility and tackles with force. Then he gets up and tries to do it again.
The workhorse of the OSU defense, coach Mike Gundy says. Phillips shows up with his lunch pail, punches his time card and goes to work every day.
“He's a blue-collar guy,” Gundy said. “Puts his time in.
