STILLWATER — Tre Flowers can't get Jordan Sterns out of his head.
Nor does he want to.
Flowers and Sterns, who played side-by-side a year ago, talk frequently, and Flowers studies his old pal regularly still during video sessions.
For one, the former Cowboy was simply fun to watch as an enforcer in the Oklahoma State secondary.
But also, Flowers has moved into Sterns' old role, sliding from strong safety to free safety. And what better model than the guy who posted three straight 100-tackle seasons and ranks seventh in school history in tackles, having posted more career stops than any Cowboy in nearly 30 years.
