OSU’s Defense Puts Up Another Impressive Performance in Morgantown

There was talk about Oklahoma State needing its defense to win this game in Morgantown with quarterback Spencer Sanders out, and that’s what the Cowboys did.

OSU beat West Virginia 20-13 in Milan Puskar Stadium in classic bend without breaking fashion. The Mountaineers got into the red zone three times, but walked away with only six total red-zone points.

West Virginia’s final possession was the epitome of how the Cowboys’ defense played Saturday. The Mountaineers started at their 25 after an OSU field goal. WVU marched down the field an converted a fourth down on the Cowboys’ 18, and it looked like the Mountaineers would have a chance to go for the tie or the win when Jim Knowles’ boys put the clamps back on.
