Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard is one of five national finalists for the 2018-19 Cornish Trophy, awarded annually to the top Canadian player in college football.
A native of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Hubbard spent much of the year backing up Justice Hill, before taking over as OSU’s primary back in the final four games when Hill was lost to injury.
Hubbard had over 100 yards in three of OSU’s final four games, including 104 yards and three touchdowns against Oklahoma. He added 134 yards in an upset of West Virginia and capped the year with a career-best 145 yards on 18 carries in the Liberty Bowl victory over Missouri.
