STILLWATER — The birdie putts finally dropped for Emma Broze.
Broze, the lone Oklahoma State golfer to advance to the women's NCAA championships at Karsten Creek Golf Club, made six birdies Sunday, firing a third-round 2-under-par 70 that gave her a three-day total of 1-over 217. Broze was one of the nine individuals not on advancing teams to make the cut.
Sunday's weather was overcast and wet while Broze was competing. Although the course wasn't as dry as it was the first two rounds, she said it gave her an opportunity to go low.
“We practice a lot in these conditions, even worse because today was like, no wind,” Broze said.
