STILLWATER — Mike Holder’s honesty is what Oklahoma State basketball coach Mike Boynton most appreciates about his athletic director. That honesty, though, has brought criticism Holder’s way the past couple of weeks.
In a recent Pistols Firing podcast, Holder commented on OSU football coach Mike Gundy’s approach to recruiting, saying he wishes the Cowboys consistently finished better in national recruiting rankings. OSU’s past five recruiting classes have an average ranking of 36.6, per 247Sports, while the Cowboys won 10 games each of the past three seasons.
“You’ve got to give credit to Mike Gundy,” Holder told Pistols Firing.
