STILLWATER — Talent and passion have pushed him to the top, but competition is what drives Oklahoma State wrestler Daton Fix.
The redshirt freshman from Sand Springs remains undefeated to start his college career and is up to No. 2 at 133 pounds in the college wrestling rankings after a wild match last weekend against Nick Suriano from Rutgers.
Fix ultimately won 3-2 when Suriano received a hands-to-the-face penalty in the second sudden-victory overtime period of a match that had multiple lengthy video reviews and lasted more than 30 minutes.
As is the case in the lighter weights, more challenges await.
