STILLWATER — Oklahoma State's Andrew Shomers was prepared to wrestle on Sunday. But he wasn't expecting to wrestle.
Shomers has been filling in for injured senior All-American Chandler Rogers, whose health has improved to the point that Shomers figured he'd be watching from the bench when the second-ranked Cowboys hosted No. 22 Lehigh at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
After he got the call from OSU coach John Smith, Shomers provided the day's most dramatic victory in a dual the Cowboys controlled from the start, winning 27-6.
Shomers' last-second win followed a sudden-victory decision by OSU's Wyatt Sheets at 157 pounds.
