OSU wrestling: Daton Fix receives one-year sanction for positive test of prohibited substance, per report

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State wrestler Daton Fix has received a one-year probation sanction by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency for testing positive for a prohibited substance, according to a report.

Fix tested positive for ostarine, which is similar to an anabolic steroid, in an out-of-competition drug test on Jan. 22, 2020, according to a report by intermatwrestle.com.

According to the story, an investigation found that Fix ingested the substance by drinking from a water bottle that his father had prepared for himself but left in the family’s refrigerator. Fix said he was unaware that his father had added ostarine as part of a supplement mixture in the bottle.
