OSU wrestling: Daton Fix makes USA U23 roster

Oklahoma State freshman Daton Fix earned a spot on the USA roster at the U23 World Wrestling Championship after going unbeaten at the Freestyle World Team Trials on Sunday in Rochester, Minn.

Wrestling at 57 kg, Fix defeated three-time All-American and 2015 NCAA champion Nathan Tomasello in a best-of-three match to earn his roster spot.

OSU wrestlers Boo Lewallen and Gary Wayne Harding, along with former Cowboy Anthony Collica, also competed in the event. Lewallen reached the finals and Collica made the semifinals.

Fix, a Sand Springs native, won the Junior World Championships in August where he outscored his opponents by a total of 53-1.
