It was not a great day for most Oklahoma State wrestling fans, as the Cowboys end the opening day at the Big 12 Tournament tied for second with Wyoming and behind their arch rival Sooners.
OSU started things off pretty well. The only match the Pokes lost in the first round was at 141, where Kaden Gfeller stepped out for the first time this season at the weight and fell to the No. 3 seed from South Dakota State.
In the next championship round, the Cowboys dropped three bouts at 157, 174, and HWT as Wyatt Sheets, Dustin Plott and Austin Harris were knocked to the consolation side.
