Following Oklahoma State wrestling’s dual victory against Wyoming at Gallagher Iba Arena a couple weeks ago, head coach John Smith wasn’t happy with seniors Chandler Rogers and Jacobe Smith.
At 165 pounds, Rogers was defeated 4-1, while Jacobe Smith barely squeaked out a victory at 174.
Fast forward two weeks, and the message was received by not only Rogers and Jacobe Smith, but all four of the Cowboys’ seniors in the starting lineup.
The result was a 41-2 Bedlam victory against the Oklahoma Sooners on Sunday in Stillwater, a victory in which OSU’s seniors dominated.
Rogers notched a first period fall in 1:53.
