LUBBOCK, TEXAS — Oklahoma State was handed its second loss in three games on Sunday after its hot start to the 2016-17 season.
The Cowgirls fell to conference foe Texas Tech, 70-65, in front of 4,146 spectators inside United Supermarkets Arena.
In the first of two meetings between Oklahoma State (11-2, 1-1 Big 12) and Texas Tech (9-4, 1-1 Big 12) this year, the Cowgirls led for more than 25 minutes of action in their first Big 12 road test.
The teams battled neck-and-neck for three periods with the Cowgirls leading by two heading into the fourth quarter.
