STILLWATER — Oklahoma State outscored Loyola Marymount (Calif.) by 15 points in the final quarter to win its third game of the season, 66-58.
The game was played on the five-year anniversary of the plane crash that killed four people, including OSU coach Kurt Budke and assistant Miranda Serna. The university announced Thursday before the game it plans to construct a memorial outside Gallagher Iba Arena. The memorial is scheduled to open during the spring of 2017.
The Cowgirls led 34-29 at halftime, but they opened the second half in a slump with Loyola Marymount taking the lead with a 10-0 run during the first five minutes of the third quarter.
