STILLWATER — Oklahoma State shot 63 percent from the field in the second half, and the Cowgirls pulled away for a 90-45 women's basketball triumph over Lamar on Friday afternoon before 3,591 fans at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
OSU led by a relatively close 42-30 at halftime, but it blew the game open in the second half by outscoring the Cardinals 23-9 in the third quarter and 25-6 in the fourth.
The Cowgirls were 17 of 27 from the field over the last two quarters. Lamar shot just 12.5 percent from the field in the second half and 20 percent for the game.
