STILLWATER — The Oklahoma State women’s basketball team has won two of its last three games and each victory had its own significance.
The Jan. 15 win at Kansas State was the 800th of Jim Littell’s head coaching career, dating back to his first job as a high school coach in Kansas in 1978 and covering nearly every level of basketball.
Last Wednesday’s 57-55 win at No. 25 West Virginia was more important in the present moment, giving the Cowgirls their first win over a ranked opponent this season, and providing some momentum after a couple of potential Big 12 victories slipped away.
