STILLWATER — Much like Oklahoma State’s season, Monday night began with promise. A variety of players making shots, sharing the ball and playing tough defense.
And like the season, it all faded.
OSU ended the women’s basketball regular season with a 68-58 loss to Kansas State at Gallagher-Iba Arena, giving the Cowgirls 11 losses in their last 13 games after letting a 14-point lead disappear.
Once 12-4 on the year, OSU limped home to finish 14-15 after getting outscored by 24 points in the second half Monday.
Maria Castro made the most of her senior night opportunity, hitting OSU’s first shot of the game, a 3-pointer from the top of the key, on her way to a 13-point, 10-rebound performance.
