OSU women's basketball: Cowgirls aim for young guards to cut down turnovers

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State women's basketball coach Jim Littell took one look at the stat sheet Sunday in Norman, and it was all too clear what happened in the Cowgirls' Bedlam defeat.

“Twenty-one to nine turnovers,” Littell said. “I think that was the difference in the game.”

When OSU hosts Kansas at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Gallager-Iba Arena, quality ball handling will be essential. The Cowgirls have turned it over 73 times in now-four consecutive losses — an 18.25 turnover per game average.

OSU (12-6, 2-5 Big 12) struggled against the Sooners' full-court press in Norman last week.
