LAWRENCE, KAN. — Oklahoma State women's basketball held off Kansas 72-62 in front of 1,792 fans inside Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday.
The Cowgirls (12-4, 3-2 Big 12) got off to a hot start and hit five 3-pointers in the first quarter. Freshman Ja'Mee Asberry hit three shots from behind the arc, and sophomores Braxtin Miller and Vivian Gray each hit a 3-pointer as OSU took a 19-10 lead into the second quarter.
In the second, OSU kept up the pace and traded buckets with Kansas before heading into halftime with a 34-25 lead.
Miller got going for OSU in the third quarter and scored a quick five points, but the Jayhawks cut the deficit to 49-42.
