No. 13 seed Oklahoma State will open play at the Women’s College World Series against fifth-seeded Florida at 6 p.m. Thursday inside USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium. The game will be televised on an ESPN network.
The Cowgirls advanced to their eighth WCWS with a 3-2 win over defending champion and fourth-seeded Florida State Saturday.
It’s OSU’s first trip since 2011, and first under coach Kenny Gajewski, who came to OSU after three seasons as an assistant at Florida.
OSU is on the same half of the bracket with top-seeded Oklahoma and No. 8 Alabama and will face one of those teams in its second game.
