Oklahoma State's doubleheader was a tale of two games.
"Started off well today, but a rough game to follow."
Coach Josh Holliday described the Cowboys' performance today after an excellent start by left-handed pitcher Sam Garcia in game one with a 4-2 win against Mercer, but the response was the opposite in game two from the offense and right-handed pitcher Brian Holiday, as OSU lost 4-1.
"Game one: pretty good. Game two: disappointing. Overall: long day."
Garcia set the tone for the Cowboys (9-6) to begin the doubleheader with his six innings of work, where he struck out nine — both career highs.
