STILLWATER — Carrie Eberle came to Oklahoma State at a time when expectations are as high as ever.
But the former Virginia Tech star pitcher is ready for the pressure.
Last year’s ACC Pitcher of the Year, Eberle steps into a rotation looking for its ace following the graduation of Samantha Show from last year’s Cowgirl team that made it to the Women’s College World Series.
Eberle and the No. 13 Cowgirls open the season at LSU’s Tiger Classic, taking on the hosts at 6 p.m. Friday.
The goal for OSU isn’t to only get back to the WCWS, but to go farther than last year’s team, which won its opener, then lost two straight to be eliminated.
