The Cowgirls (36-11, 12-2 Big 12) trailed 7-0 after starter Samantha Clakley gave up nine hits and seven runs — six earned — in the opening 2 2/3 innings.
Logan Simunek saved OSU with a dominant performance in relief. The junior held the Red Raiders (35-11, 8-9) to four hits in the final 4 1/3 frames, and improved to 7-3 on the season.
The Cowgirls got on the scoreboard in the third with a solo home run by Rylee Bayless.
