Tiffany Mikkelson worked to productively pass the time Sunday, trying, too, to push away negative thoughts in advance of the NCAA Softball Championship Selection Show.
And it wasn't easy for the Cowgirls senior, who arrived at OSU at a time of optimism and promise, only to endure a decaying of the program until this season's rebound under first-year coach Kenny Gajewski. Yes, the Cowgirls stood at a solid 29-24 and competed well in the rugged Big 12.
But had anybody noticed?
“There were definitely nerves, especially since (the show) was at 9 at night,” Mikkelson said.
