OSU softball defeats North Texas 10-2, improves win streak to 11

Ahead of Oklahoma State softball's Big 12 Conference opener series against Texas Tech this weekend, it couldn't overlook Wednesday's game against North Texas.

Safe to say, the Cowgirls didn't, as they won 10-2, improving their winning streak to 11 games.

Rosie Davis got things going in the first for the Cowgirls (15-4) with a two-run homer, but OSU's dominant day started in the circle with sophomore pitcher Katie Kutz, who in five innings of work threw a career-high seven strikeouts against the Mean Green (16-5).

UNT tied things up in the bottom of the second, but OSU responded with a four-run, three-hit top of the third, highlighted by a solo Karli Godwin home run (her first of two) and a Tia Warsop 2RBI double.
