Oklahoma State scored 12 runs in the first inning on its way to a 15-0 rout of Missouri State in the first game of the Mizuno Classic in Stillwater on Friday.
Kiley Naomi and Sydney Pennington both homered twice and Hayley Bailey belted a three-run shot for the Cowgirls. OSU ace Carrie Eberle was perfect through four innings and improved her record to 8-1 with a 0.56 ERA.
The Cowgirls defeated Murray State, 7-3, in the nightcap as freshman Karli Petty hit a three-run homer. Redshirt freshman Kelly Maxwell picked up the win, fanning nine while allowing two runs on two hits.
