Forward Elena Brynjarsdottir signed with Oklahoma State’s soccer team, coach Colin Carmichael announced Wednesday.
A native of Reykjavik, Iceland, Brynjarsdottir turned down offers from South Alabama and Arkansas to play for the Cowgirls.
She previously competed at the 2014 European U-17 Championship.
In 14 games for the Icelandic U-17 national team, Brynjarsdottir tallied three goals.
Before joining the Cowgirls, Brynjarsdottir played for Icedanic sides Breidablik and Grindabik.
She has become the Cowgirls’ eighth signing for the 2018 season.
