NORMAN -- The final out of Friday night’s Bedlam baseball game was fitting in Nolan Schubart’s mind.
A well-struck ball from catcher Chase Adkison sailed deceivingly into the night sky. For a moment, Adkison acted as if he might have pieced it well enough to be a solo home run – so did Schubart, who was hitting one spot behind Adkison in the batting order. Instead, a brief moment of excitement from the OSU left fielder dwindled.
The sailing ball died in midair, dropping into the glove of OU center fielder John Spikerman, concluding OSU’s 5-0 loss to OU at L.
