OSU assistant basketball coach Lamont Evans was arrested Tuesday.
OSU AthleticsLamont Evans, associate head coach for the Oklahoma State men's basketball team, was arrested Tuesday because he took cash bribes to deliver athletes to an adviser or agent, NBC News reported Tuesday. Federal prosecutors announced the charges Tuesday.
OSU released a statement about the incident.
“We were surprised to learn this morning of potential actions against one of our assistant basketball coaches by federal officials," the statement said. "We are reviewing and investigating the allegations. We are cooperating fully with officials. Let it be clear we take very seriously the high standards of conduct expected in our athletic department.
