With four guaranteed games remaining in the 2018 season, Oklahoma State has more freedom in its ability to use freshmen and other redshirt-eligible players.
Saturday's 38-35 victory over Texas leaves the Cowboys one win from bowl eligibility and thus an extra game to navigate redshirts, though the pressures to use younger players will be reduced in a bowl. Coach Mike Gundy could deploy several freshmen in OSU's final four games all while retaining their ability to redshirt.
Beyond the three defensive backs who have already guaranteed they will be sophomores next season, the only freshman to play against the Longhorns was safety Kanion Williams, who made his second appearance of the season.
