Like Jarrick Bernard and Kolby Peel before him, Oklahoma State freshman cornerback Tanner McCalister officially burned his redshirt this week.
McCalister was a game behind Bernard and Peel in appearing for the fifth time this season because he missed OSU's season opener with an injury. With college football's new redshirt rule, eligible players are afforded four appearances before they are no longer able to redshirt.
Peel and Bernard, both freshman safeties, surpassed that limit last week at Kansas, a game in which both received their first career starts. The duo started again Saturday in a 48-42 loss to Iowa State.
