Oklahoma State linebacker Seth Jacobs receives the defensive MVP award after the TicketCity Cactus Bowl on Jan. 2, 2015, in Tempe, Arizona. Tuesday, Jacobs announced he was retiring from football despite having a year of eligibility left.
Jacobs announced on Facebook and Twitter on Tuesday that he will be retiring from the Cowboy football program. He has battled several injuries throughout his career, including issues with a separated shoulder and spinal stenosis. He played most of his junior season with a hand injury.
