Freshman linebacker Brendan Vaughn has been dismissed from the Oklahoma State football team following his Saturday arrest on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a school, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
“He’s been off our team since Sunday,” OSU coach Mike Gundy said following Tuesday’s practice. “Anytime you violate team rules, immediately you’re off our team.”
Oklahoma State police department records show Vaughn was placed under arrest at 4:27 p.m. Saturday inside his campus residence after officers responded to a report of a possible drug law violation.
