Oklahoma State has secured the commitment of former Texas Tech power forward Tyreek Smith.
Smith averaged 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 8.6 minutes per game as a redshirt freshman last season and was second on the team in total blocks at 21. Smith impressed as a three-star prospect at Trinity Christian High School (TX), averaging 17.9 points, 12.3 rebounds and 3.0 blocks as a senior.
Smith provides some needed size to the Cowboys roster at 6-foot-8 and 220 pounds. Smith joins Kalib and Keylan Boone, Bernard Kouma, Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe and fellow transfer Woody Newton as Cowboys who are 6-7 or taller.
