With an opportunity to keep Oklahoma State's deficit in single digits, senior Jeffrey Carroll whiffed.
Carroll's missed layup came between an Alex Robinson 3-pointer and Desmond Bane layup, turning the Cowboys' deficit back to 11 in an eventual 79-66 loss to TCU on Tuesday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
At a time the Cowboys were rallying, the sequence shifted momentum back to TCU.
“That's a play that sticks out in my mind as one that could've maybe put a little pressure on them,” coach Mike Boynton said.
Carroll finished with 18 points, but the missed layup was part of 14 straight misses on 2-point attempts spanning three games.
