OSU on Friday announced it has extended the contract for women’s basketball coach Jacie Hoyt on the heels of her first season leading the Cowgirls program following approval from the Board of Regents. Hoyt won 21 games in her first season at OSU and led the Cowgirls to the NCAA Tournament, matching the program record for total wins under a first-year head coach.
“When we hired Coach Hoyt, we were confident that she was the right person to return Cowgirl Basketball to being competitive in the Big 12 and nationally,” OSU Athletic Director Chad Weiberg said announcing the extension.
