STILLWATER — Among the flurry of text messages Oklahoma State receiver Tylan Wallace received Monday was one from the man with whom he would share a unique distinction.
Monday, Wallace was named a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the nation’s top receiver, and 2017 winner and former Cowboy James Washington, now a Pittsburgh Steeler, sent him a congratulatory text. If Wallace wins the Biletnikoff, he and Washington would be the first players from the same program to win the award in consecutive seasons.
“He congratulated me and told me the same thing, ‘Just keep working hard and just keep doing what you're doing,’” Wallace said Tuesday.
