OSU football: Trace Ford brings Jordan Brailford-like adaptability to Cowboys

Trace Ford has played in only one Oklahoma State football game, but he has shown his potential as a versatile defender.

Ford, a freshman from Edmond, made his collegiate debut in the Cowboys’ season opener victory against Oregon State on Friday. Although former OSU standout Brailford has started his NFL career with the Washington Redskins, the Cowboys have a new adaptable defensive end in Ford.

Coach Mike Gundy said Ford’s athletic skill is similar to Brailford’s.

“He moves around like Brailford does,” Gundy said. “We feel like he’s athletic enough to move around and do some things we did with Jordan.
