STILLWATER — Oklahoma State legend Thurman Thomas hopes being the inaugural inductee into the Cowboys’ Ring of Honor will be a bridge to other alumni.
He also hopes it leads to a stronger relationship with OSU coach Mike Gundy.
“My relationship with Mike Gundy is probably strong,” Thomas said in a Zoom interview Tuesday. “I wish it could be stronger.”
A Hall of Fame running back who is the Cowboys’ all-time leading rusher, Thomas’ name and jersey No. 34 will be unveiled atop the west end zone of Boone Pickens Stadium at halftime Saturday against West Virginia.
