Two years ago, J.W. Walsh offered something special in a run-oriented quarterback package as the backup to Clint Chelf.
As Walsh thrived in his moments, fans and those in the media offered ideas to name the package, with “The Walshing Package” becoming most popular.
With Walsh in a similar role this season, he’s already made an impact, scoring OSU’s first touchdown in the opening win at Central Michigan, entering on a third-and-goal play and running in from the 1.
And now, there’s a movement to provide a new name for the package, something more dynamic.
“The Power Walsh” has emerged as an early favorite.
