TULSA — Spencer Sanders took off running against Oregon State and looked for open field but not necessarily the sideline, and that’s when it hit me. This new Oklahoma State quarterback plays a lot like an old OSU quarterback.
J.W. Walsh.
That’s a compliment, in case you’ve slept on Walsh’s Cowboy contributions.
OSU plays Tulsa at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Chapman Stadium, and the Cowboys have a budding star at quarterback, two games into his collegiate career.
Sanders has rushed for 160 yards and thrown for 453 while completing 73.8 percent of his passes, with six touchdowns and no interceptions.
