STILLWATER — After a few years of up-and-down special teams performances, Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy made some adjustments to how the Cowboys practice that aspect of the game.
In a year when programs across the country have been struggling on special teams, OSU has been consistent in all aspects, from kicking and punting, to returns and coverage.
Gundy didn’t offer specific examples of what has changed, but the adjustments are paying off.
“We’ve stressed it more this year. I changed some things this year,” Gundy said. “If you don’t amount a lot of time into it like Kansas State used to, then you just try to do the best you can.
