NEW ORLEANS — Mason Rudolph's right foot struck the turf over and again as he ran through the Superdome on Friday night for his first snap, and the month-long Oklahoma State quarterback mind games were decidedly over.
No limp. No problem.
The sophomore quarterback completed his first five throws with a surgically repaired base, evaded the rush and spun out of tackles. He connected on passes of 17 and 27 yards to Marcell Ateman and another 25-yard dart to David Glidden. His backup and two-quarterback system counterpart J.W. Walsh took just two first half snaps, and Rudolph appeared mostly the same player who previously led OSU to 10-straight victories this season, and on this day, against Ole Miss before 72,117 on the Sugar Bowl's national stage.
