Cowboys coach Mike Gundy revealed Monday that Mason Rudolph dealt with some numbness in his throwing hand Saturday, due to a hit, yet didn't suggest that may have contributed to mistakes by the quarterback, including a fumble returned for a touchdown by Texas.
“He got hit and had a little bit of numbing for a while, but I don't think that affected anything,” Gundy said.
Rudolph dismissed it entirely.
“No excuses,” Rudolph said. “I've got to keep my hands on the ball in those situations. No problem. No excuse. I've got to make the play.
